    lack of heat
    bad coffee

i was almost ready to leave a glowing review, but the lack of proactive cooling before my arrival was shocking. how hard would it have been to close the shudders? also, the coffee in my room was more like watered down tea—the horror! i was definitely expecting a complimentary gesture for my trouble.

    cozy atmosphere
    stifling heat
    tasteless coffee

The cozy feel and attentive service made my stay pleasant.

Upon arrival, the room was stifling hot, and there was no air conditioning, a basic expectation for comfort. I was shocked to find the shutters left open, allowing the sun to heat the room excessively. The coffee provided was worse than tasteless, almost comparable to water, and certainly not the pick-me-up I was hoping for after a long day.

    rustic charm
    spacious rooms
    lacking coffee
    limited amenities

The rustic charm of Chama Trails Motel is inviting, with spacious rooms that showcase a unique western decor. The coffee situation could be better, as the provided drink was lacking. However, the hospitality was warm, and clean conditions made for a pleasant stay.

    comfortable beds
    rustic decor
    clean setup
    missing pool

We stayed here with our two kids, and everyone was impressed! The beds were super comfy, and the large room had a nice rustic feel. With the big shower and clean setup, we felt right at home. The local dining options were fantastic too.

My kids wished for a pool area for some splash fun.

    Couple's Clean Getaway

The room was very nice and spacious we had a double room with two queen beds which was perfect for us. Everything was spotless and the beds were super comfy which is important after a long day on the train.

It wasn't exactly inexpensive but worth the money for the comfort and cleanliness.

Easy access to rooms from parking, warm hospitality, and a grocery store across the street made for a convenient stay (especially after a long travel day).

The room was quite warm upon arrival. a proactive cooling setup would have been appreciated.

    convenient location
    impressive remodel
    unpleasant warmth
    subpar coffee
    lack of proactive cooling

The location was convenient, with easy access to highways and even a grocery store just across the street. The remodel is impressive and shows attention to detail, creating a welcoming environment. However, the room was warmer than expected upon arrival, and a proactive cooling setup would have been a nice touch. Additionally, the coffee provided in the room was not up to par, lacking flavor and quality.

Just a great match for a weekend break in Chama with all in all brilliant value for money. The military discount made our stay even better, which was a nice surprise. If looking for good coffee, consider bringing your own or heading to the nearby gas station.
